ABOUT
Robyn Elysee is an experimental designer and spiritual artist based in New York. She makes collectors item clothing and avoids mass production. Items are only sold as one of one or in limited quantities. Each garment is hand sewn by the designer in her New York studio.
Her work also explores unconventional and provocative themes. She experiments with nudity, taboo, and spiritual practices. The work challenges norms and expands the idea of clothing. Each piece functions as both garment and statement.
Garments are rarely duplicated or resized unless they fall into the accessory category. Once created, the pattern is destroyed. Each piece is a ritual, a relic, with its own energy and story. Her process honors rarity and purpose.
The designer is rooted in spiritual process and intuitive craftsmanship. Elysee designs from a place of isolation and stillness, not to meet demand. Pieces are made through labor, silence, and vision. Sustainability is central, using unused clothing, scrap materials, hardware, wood, unconventional materials.
Clothing remains one-of-one, while accessories are produced in limited runs. Some looks are made in limited quantities. Nothing is outsourced or produced in batches. Elysee creates for collectors and those who resonate and admire with her work.
She began her practice in 2022 and continues to follow a slow fashion model. Collections are shown exclusively for the spring/summer season. Presentations take place off-season, outside the traditional fashion calendar.
